Based on the themes of Barcelona and artist Salvador Dalí, the 2004 FAD annual fashion show and competition was designed and developed to integrate the display of the participants’ graphic works plus their fashion creations on the catwalk within the historic iconic premises of the Raphael gallery at the V&A museum in London.
Our Solutions
For the fashion show a concept based on the competition brief’s idea of “converging” was translated into a geometrical and angular layout for the models walkways, where the key production elements of sound and lighting highlighted spatial focal points within the space of the museum’s gallery. The contrast between the historic look of the architectural space and the sharp modern expression of light-beams and the audience sitting arrangement enhanced the dynamic performance of the models who walked in pairs following a geometrical layout.
